One table, one number

Group together, ring on one table number.
If a group walks up together, ask before you start ringing: are you all sitting together? If yes, put the entire group on one table number. One table, one number. It keeps the runs clean, the food drops accurate, and the kitchen sane.
The ask, every time
Are you sitting together? Great, I will put you all on one table number. If they are splitting checks, that is fine, ring it on one ticket and split at the end. The kitchen still sees one table. If they are not sitting together (separate tables), ring separate orders, separate table numbers.
