Behaviors that get you sent home

The dismissal-grade non-negotiables list, FOH and BOH.

This is the master list. It applies to every role on shift, FOH and BOH. If a manager sees any of these, the shift ends and a write-up follows. There is no warning for repeat occurrences after the first.

The non-negotiables
  • Phone visible or in hand on the floor.
  • Chewing gum, ever.
  • Eating, drinking, or sipping a drink in front of a .
  • Out of dress code: torn or stained shirt, dirty apron, no hat in BOH, open-toe or non-slip-failed shoes, no hair containment when handling food.
  • Smoking on shift, including vapes and chew. Smoke on your own time.
  • Texting or talking with coworkers while a is at the counter.
  • Making a wait more than 30 seconds without acknowledgment.
  • Telling a no, we cannot do that, instead of finding a yes or asking a manager.
  • Using your own POS login or a manager's PIN. Always CUN Cashier, PIN 1111.
  • Walking into the kitchen and making your own food. The shift meal must be rung in.
  • Pouring or grabbing a comp drink that is not rung into .
  • Saying any banned phrase to a : customer, no problem, no worries, that is just how it is, I just work here, that is not my section.
  • Anything controversial, political, or offensive on a hat or pin. If you have to ask, no.
