These are the standard kitchen phrases. Use them, your kitchen will love you for it.

All dayThe total count of an item across all open tickets. Chef, that is six all day, two paneer, four chicken.
On the flyI need this fast, ahead of the normal queue. Chef, can we get a on the fly for table 12?
Super rush / VIPDrop everything, this one is urgent. Chef, super rush on the fries for 18, please. Use sparingly.
FireStart cooking the next course or the held order. Chef, can we fire the second course on table 7?
86Out of stock. Kitchen says 86 on the lamb means we are out of lamb. Pass it to the cashiers immediately.
Heard / heard thatI acknowledge what you said. Use it back to the kitchen so they know you got it.
HandsI need a runner. Chef, hands on table 18 when you can.
