Identify every dish at the drop
Name every plate when it lands. Drop the food script.
Auctioning food is when a runner walks out with a plate and asks the room: who had the ? Who got the ?
We do not do that. The auction signals the runner did not pay attention at . It makes the do the work. It feels cheap, every time, in every restaurant.
Read the ticket at . Locate the table. Walk out knowing who gets what. Drop the dish, name the dish, move.
If you genuinely do not know which at the table ordered which dish, hold the plate, walk back to the ticket, look at the seat number or the order. Then come back and drop with confidence.
Every plate gets named when it lands. Never just put food down and walk away. Say what it is. Be efficient: do not over-explain something the just ordered (saying chicken with chicken is obvious, just say chicken tikka masala). The guest needs to know they got the right plate.
